Toda Racing B16 Spec B Camshaft Set – Intake & Exhaust
The Toda Racing B16 Spec B camshaft set is designed for builders looking to move beyond drop-in camshafts and extract stronger high-rpm performance from their DOHC VTEC engine. Compared to OEM and Spec A camshafts, Spec B increases VTEC lobe duration and lift, shifting the powerband upward and improving airflow at higher engine speeds.
This camshaft set is intended for performance-focused street and track builds where supporting modifications are in place.
Compared to OEM Type R camshafts, Spec B offers a substantial increase in both duration and lift on the VTEC lobe, allowing the engine to continue making power well past the factory power curve. Compared to Spec A, Spec B further increases the aggressiveness of the high cam profile, favoring top-end power and sustained high-rpm operation. While low-cam behavior remains controlled, Spec B is optimized for engines that spend more time in VTEC.
Due to the increased lift and rpm capability, upgraded valve springs are required when running Spec B camshafts. Proper valvetrain setup is essential to maintain reliability at higher engine speeds.

Compared to Spec A, Spec B increases both duration and lift on the VTEC lobe, enabling greater airflow and improved power retention at higher rpm.
