The Toda Racing B16 Spec A camshaft set is designed as a true step up from OEM camshafts while preserving factory-level drivability and reliability. This is a drop-in cam upgrade that delivers stronger VTEC engagement, improved airflow at high rpm, and a broader usable powerband without requiring upgraded valve springs or valvetrain modifications.
Compared to factory Honda camshafts, the Spec A profile significantly increases VTEC lobe duration and lift, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently once on the high cam. This results in stronger pull through the mid-range and noticeably better power carry toward redline. Unlike more aggressive cam profiles, Toda retains an OEM-like low-cam profile, ensuring smooth idle, predictable part-throttle response, and excellent street manners. Performance gains are focused on the VTEC lobe rather than compromising daily drivability.

The retained 220° low-cam duration is a key reason this cam set does not require upgraded valve springs and maintains OEM-level drivability off-VTEC.
