Description
Grade 5 titanium replacement for the factory stud on the B-Series 2-bolt transmission post mount, designed in house and machined from solid bar with rolled threads. Sold individually; the 2-bolt post mount uses two of these.
Includes:
1x Stud, M12 x 1.25, 57.6mm body length, 17mm head
Material: Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V)
Strength Equivalent: Class 9.8 steel (900 MPa tensile)
Weight: approximately 44% lighter than equivalent steel hardware
Installation: Tef-Gel is recommended on all threads and contact surfaces. Titanium will gall and cold-weld to aluminum if installed dry. When using Tef-Gel or any thread lubricant, torque to the factory specification x 0.8 to achieve the correct clamp load.
Disclaimer: This product is intended for racing use only and is not an OEM replacement. Titanium fasteners have a higher fatigue rate than factory steel hardware and should be inspected regularly. Titanium bolts can back out without the use of a spring washer. Spring washers are not included to save weight, as these products are intended for racing use. Fitment: B-Series 2-bolt transmission post mount. The 2-bolt post mount comes from the factory on 96-00 Civics with a B-Series engine, including the Civic SiR, Si and Type R. This hardware does not fit the 3-bolt post mount used on the Integra Type R.
Some sizes may differ slightly from the factory part. The Includes list above shows the exact size supplied.
