Carbing Front Strut Bar Type I
The Carbing front strut bar is a rigid, single-piece chassis brace designed to reduce front-end flex and improve steering response on classic Honda platforms. Manufactured in Japan, this bar uses a welded one-piece construction rather than a multi-piece design, minimizing deflection under load and allowing the front suspension to work more consistently during cornering, braking, and transitions.
This strut bar mounts over the outer strut locations found on non-Type R, non-GSR, and non-SiR models, making it an ideal upgrade for base-model cars that were not factory-equipped with front tower bracing. At the same time, it remains fully compatible with SiR, GSR, and Type R models with no modification required.
Each bar is finished using a brite dip process, a chemical polishing treatment that enhances the aluminum surface to a bright, high-gloss metallic appearance. An aqua marine chemical-resistant top coat is then applied, offering excellent protection against heat, grime, and corrosion. This finish provides greater long-term durability than raw aluminum, anodized, or standard clear-coated alternatives while delivering a distinctive visual finish in the engine bay.
The result is sharper steering feel, reduced chassis flex, and more predictable front-end behavior—especially noticeable on higher-mileage Hondas where factory rigidity has diminished. It’s a straightforward bolt-on upgrade that delivers real, measurable improvement.
