Factory Nissin pad retaining spring, used as a retrofit for Spoon Sports twin block calipers on the Integra Type R.
A pad spring puts constant light tension on the brake pads, holding them against the caliper’s pad guides.
This matters most with aggressive pads. Race and track compounds are typically harder, generate more vibration, and are often run without the noise-damping shims found on street pads. A pad spring keeps those pads seated and stable, helping reduce chatter and squealing in street driving and use, and helps keep pad contact consistent from stop to stop.
Quantity: One per caliper, two required per car.
Fitment: Spoon Sports twin block caliper, 94-01 Integra Type R.
