5mm Spring Nut – Side Skirt
Clip-on spring nut (U-nut) for 5mm screws. Slides over the edge of a panel or bracket hole and gives the screw a captive thread to bite into. Honda uses this style throughout the body for rocker and side moldings, fender liners, splash shields, bumper covers, lower grilles and spoilers.
These lose tension and rust after years of removal and reinstallation, so worn or missing ones are a common cause of rattles and loose trim. Replace them whenever trim, liners or aero pieces come off.
