Crimps directly onto 3–4 AWG copper wire using a hex hydraulic crimper — the bare conductor of a 4 AWG wire measures 5.2mm which you can verify with a caliper before crimping. Rated at 150A continuous, this is the heavy-gauge option within the 5.7mm system for builds pulling more current than factory charging wiring was designed to carry.

Wire run length matters. The longer the cable between your battery and its destination, the more resistance builds in the circuit — and with resistance comes heat and voltage drop, which effectively increases the current demand on the wire. Stepping up to 25mm² conductor on a 5.7mm pin buys you headroom on longer runs without changing connector systems. If your battery is relocated significantly from the factory position, moving up to the Radlok 8mm system rated for 2 AWG is the appropriate solution to handle the increased load safely.

Crimping this connector requires a hex hydraulic crimper, available on Amazon or similar. No special tools beyond that — once crimped, the connector presses onto any compatible 5.7mm Radlok stud and locks in place with a single finger. No exposed terminals, no loose hardware, and a connection that stays put regardless of vibration.
