3M Hookit™ Finishing Film Disc – P2000 (30666)
Premium 6″ finishing disc designed for refining clear coat before final polishing. This P2000-grade Hookit™ disc uses an aluminum oxide abrasive on a durable film backing, delivering a smooth, consistent cut without deep scratches or swirl.
In our process, this disc is used after leveling clear coat by hand with 1000 grit on a soft block to remove orange peel or texture. The 30666 disc, paired with a 3M foam interface pad, removes the 1000 grit scratches and refines the surface without introducing new defects—preparing it for the final step.
From here, we follow with a 3000 grit Trizact disc to complete the finish before compounding. The film construction resists tearing and maintains edge integrity, making it ideal for both flat and contoured panels.
