Description
Radlok 8mm Stud — M6x1.0 Male
A Racing History Company manufactured Radlok 8mm stud with an M6x1.0 male thread. Copper core with tin plating delivers high electrical conductivity with added oxidation resistance, keeping connection integrity intact over time. Threads directly into any M6x1.0 tapped location — factory chassis ground points, body panels, firewall studs, and OEM grounding tabs commonly found throughout Honda and Acura platforms — and presents an 8mm Radlok-compatible stud for a press-lock high-current connection.
Radlok is an Amphenol-engineered connector system originally developed for EV battery systems, heavy equipment, and aerospace — applications where connection integrity is critical. Using RADSOK hyperbolic grid contact technology, it maximizes surface contact between pin and socket, resulting in significantly lower resistance than a traditional ring terminal or bolt-on lug. Less resistance means more of your electrical energy reaches its destination instead of being lost at the connection.
M6x1.0 is one of the most common thread specifications found at factory ground locations across Japanese and European platforms — but these points are rarely treated as critical connections. Thread this stud into your existing M6x1.0 hole, press the Radlok cable end on, and the connection locks in place — resistant to loosening, resistant to corrosion buildup, and reliable every time. The 8mm Radlok format handles cable gauge in the 35–50mm² range, making it the right choice for battery negative leads, high-draw chassis grounds, and main system earth runs.
Installation Notice
Radlok adapter studs are machined from copper alloy. Copper is a soft material by nature — do not exceed recommended torque values. Male studs are particularly susceptible to thread stretch under over-torque and should be tightened with care. Over-tightening will deform the threads and can cause the stud to shear. No warranty claim will be accepted for studs damaged by over-torque.
Do not use installation lubricants, anti-seize, or grease of any kind on the threads. These products reduce friction and make it significantly easier to over-torque the stud, increasing the risk of thread damage or shear.
Female-threaded studs must be installed hand-tight and fully bottomed out on the bolt stud before any locking hardware is applied. Once seated, thread a jam nut down against the mating surface and tighten to lock the stud in place. Failure to bottom out the stud or use a jam nut can result in the stud backing out under load or vibration.
Electrical & Current Load Notice
These studs are intended for use within the current rating of the Amphenol Radlok connector system they are paired with. Some adapter configurations bridge connector systems of different sizes — it is the installer’s responsibility to ensure the final assembly is rated for the intended load. The limiting factor in any adapted connection is always the smallest rated component in the circuit. Exceeding the rating of any single component, using undersized conductors, or making improper terminations can result in resistance buildup, heat generation, connector failure, and risk of fire. Racing History Company assumes no liability for electrical failure, thermal damage, fire, or injury resulting from installation in systems that exceed component ratings or that do not meet applicable wiring standards.
Intended Use & Liability
These products are intended for motorsport and race vehicle applications only. Use in daily driven or road vehicles is not recommended. Continuous vibration loads encountered in regular street driving will accelerate fatigue in copper alloy components over time and can lead to connector loosening or stud failure. Racing History Company is not liable for damage, failure, or injury resulting from improper installation, incorrect torque application, misuse, use in daily driven vehicles, or any use outside the intended motorsport application of this product.
