Radlok 5.7mm Stud Adapter — M6x1.0 Female

A purpose-built plated copper adapter that converts any M6x1.0 threaded terminal — including B-series alternator posts — into a Radlok 5.7mm stud connection. The plating reduces contact resistance at every interface — the thread, the seating surface, and the stud itself. Less resistance at each connection point means more current reaching where it needs to go. Threads directly onto the existing M6x1.0 post and presents a 5.7mm Radlok-compatible stud, allowing Radlok quick-disconnect wiring to be used without modification to the underlying component.

Radlok is an Amphenol-engineered high-power press-lock connector originally developed for EV battery systems, heavy equipment, and aerospace — applications where connection failure isn’t an option. The whole point is current flow. On the alternator, that means more of what’s being generated actually passes through the Radlok interfaces and into the system — not bled off at a corroded lug or a loose ring terminal. Starting issues and electrical gremlins in high-performance builds almost always trace back to marginal connections that weren’t a problem on day one but degraded over time. The RADSOK hyperbolic grid contact design maximizes surface contact between pin and socket, keeping resistance lower than any ring terminal or bolt-on lug can. Thread the adapter onto your terminal, press the Radlok cable end onto the 5.7mm stud, and it locks in place with no tools required.

Installation Notice

Radlok adapter studs are machined from copper alloy. Copper is a soft material by nature — do not exceed recommended torque values. Male studs are particularly susceptible to thread stretch under over-torque and should be tightened with care. Over-tightening will deform the threads and can cause the stud to shear. No warranty claim will be accepted for studs damaged by over-torque.

Do not use installation lubricants, anti-seize, or grease of any kind on the threads. These products reduce friction and make it significantly easier to over-torque the stud, increasing the risk of thread damage or shear.

Female-threaded studs must be installed hand-tight and fully bottomed out on the bolt stud before any locking hardware is applied. Once seated, thread a jam nut down against the mating surface and tighten to lock the stud in place. Failure to bottom out the stud or use a jam nut can result in the stud backing out under load or vibration.

Electrical & Current Load Notice

These studs are intended for use within the current rating of the Amphenol Radlok connector system they are paired with. Some adapter configurations bridge connector systems of different sizes — it is the installer’s responsibility to ensure the final assembly is rated for the intended load. The limiting factor in any adapted connection is always the smallest rated component in the circuit. Exceeding the rating of any single component, using undersized conductors, or making improper terminations can result in resistance buildup, heat generation, connector failure, and risk of fire. These products are intended for motorsport and race vehicle applications only. Use in daily driven or road vehicles is not recommended. Continuous vibration loads encountered in regular street driving will accelerate fatigue in copper alloy components over time and can lead to connector loosening or stud failure.
